Saxophone
Josh Herrera, a Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati native, is an emerging saxophonist and educator who has established himself as a prominent figure in the local music scene. With a passion for teaching and performing, Josh is an active clinician in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area, where he taught the Cincinnati Youth Honors Saxophone ensemble at the College-Conservatory of Music.
Josh’s musical talents have taken him to various stages across the country, including the International Navy Saxophone Symposium, where he had the honor of performing. He has also performed with the Cave Run Symphony Orchestra and has studied with renowned saxophonists such as James Bunte, Carly Hood, Nathan Mensink, Larry Nelson, and Adam McCord.
Josh’s mission is to create a learning environment for saxophone that allows anyone to play at a high level. His dedication to music education and his commitment to his students have made him an invaluable asset to the Cincinnati music community.
Josh holds a Music Education degree from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky, and is currently a graduate assistant at the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, where he continues to hone his skills as a musician and educator.
