Our Story

For more than 50 years, Wert Music has proudly served the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky communities. Family-owned small businesses like ours play a special role in the community. Our relationships with parents, students, band directors, and schools have been a special part of our story. Our owner, Linda Young, came to her parents with the idea for a music store in Northern Kentucky in 1973. Together they would build a successful starting point for the musical journey. Providing instruments and lessons to musicians of all ranges.

It was their core values and beliefs that gave musicians a dependable home for everything music. A "simple and honest experience as a musician and a consumer". Treat everyone like family.

Our team of experienced musicians is passionate about helping young adults and adolescents find their sound. The first time you try an instrument is a critical moment for our youth. Our relationship with the schools in our communities is our most rewarding work.
