Chriss Golden

Hello! My name is Chriss Golden.  I recently moved to Florence from the Metro Detroit area.  

I have been playing the clarinet for over 60+ years and truly enjoy playing daily…even at this point in my life! I was an instrumental music teacher and secondary guidance counselor in the Michigan Public School System for over 37 years.  After I retired, I began to work for a music company in Michigan named Marshall Music as a fitter to help young people decide what instrument to play for a band or orchestra.

Since my relocation to the Northern Kentucky area, I have joined the Wert Music team as one of their fitters to help children in the area decide what instrument they might learn more about in school.  Additionally, I have joined the Florence Community Band.  Both of these responsibilities have allowed me to meet some wonderful adults and students and also play my clarinet as much as I would like.  

I am passionate about music and how incredible it is to learn an instrument to have the chance to experience so many wonderful opportunities from this skill.  It would be my pleasure to be the private clarinet teacher for your student so that he or she may begin to travel down the path of learning about the clarinet and playing in a band during the school day. Instrumental music teaches life skills and builds memories that will make you smile for many years.
