Bruce Deal

Tuba, Euphonium/Baritone, and Trombone

Bruce W. Deal is a dedicated music educator and accomplished musician. He has experience teaching students of all ages, from kindergarten through college, in band, choir, and general music. Currently, Bruce teaches at a local high school, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), and WERT Music.

As an artist, Bruce has been accepted to present at 3 regional tuba and euphonium conferences in 2026. His presentation is entitled, Practice Makes Progress: Designing Routines with Intention. Recently, he has been invited to be a guest artist at Northern Kentucky University and Youngstown State University. Bruce has performed with professional ensembles such as the River City Brass Band, the Youngstown Symphony, and the Youngstown State University All-Star Wind Ensemble. He was a finalist in the 2020, 2022, and 2024 Midwest Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference Mock Band Excerpt Competitions and a chamber competition finalist in 2020. He also won the McDonough Honors Recital Competition in 2019.

Bruce Deal holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Youngstown State University and a Master’s degree in Tuba Performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) degree from CCM.

Locations and Lessons

Bruce teaches lessons at the Erlanger location.
